Back to School

Man, i can't believe how quickly these school holidays went... it only seems like yesterday the school year broke up and the kids were looking forward to christmas.. though... christmas seems like a blur from a million miles away with the speed that this year seems to be travelling at...
At this rate, it will be time to start all over again. Bleh..

Miss M could not wait to rejoin her friends whom she had not seen all holidays, talk about christmas and just play on the school gym equiptment. Children at that age are so easily pleased when it comes to school. She has a new teacher this year and all bar 3 of her class mates are no longer with her this year. While she was a little unsure weather she wanted to be there once we got to the classroom, she quickly settled and ive already been told she LOVES her new teacher.

B1... wow... can you believe that he is now in highschool!? I sure cant. I can still remember to vividly the first day of preschool and holding his hand as long as i could before letting it go and heading back home for the first time ever to a totally quiet house.
That soon changed when Miss M was born a while later though entirely a different story.
He looked so grown up in his middle years uniform... i cant wait til his blazer is delivered so that he can look totally the part.
B2 is graduating this year... i still cant believe that.. 15 in a few months and becoming more of a lady every day. While she is graduating, it is simply this campus... next year will see her heading to the senior campus to start the last 3 years of her higher school education.
She is going for house captian this year... good lucky with writing that speech baby.

The latest from the scrap desk

Thought i would share with you, before i head off to bed.. my latest little creation..
This again is something i have created with Kaiser Paper.. this range is Sorbet and would have to be one of my all time favourite papers.. Its just so mmm.. yummy.. it reminds me of icecream..i think the rub -ons are pretty damn yummy too.. whatcha think!? I used kindy glitz on this album too.. wanted to give it that purdy.. really sugary girl look... i think it worked well... sadly i dont think the photos do the glitzy blossoms justice..
Anyway.. this one IS staying on my desk.. i love it to bits!

Have also subbed this one.. crossing everything that i hear something positive back soon.

Purple happy mail

Wooohooooo! Man.. is she good to her word or what!... I got my purple postcard today... right from the cadbury factory in NZ!
I sniffed, i licked.. though im buggered if i can find traces of chocolate! ~L~

Gone postal!

To the girls that are waiting on some happy mail from me.. i'm just letting you know that i have now received all three addresses.. and.. as i type, these packages are all sitting on my desk waiting to be posted. I have missed the post today, though these will go out when next im driving past a mail box. Will be air bourne on the way to Chilli, Queensland and New South Wales later this week!!

A little bit of happy mail..

I thought i would share with you a little 4x4 mini boook that i have created for someone i know.. its been made using some of the gorgeous Kaiser - Esperance papers...and.. some very yummy rub-ons. I have been very liberal with my use of kindy glitz as well though, sadly.. the photograph did not pick it up all too well.. its mostly on the tips of all parts of the flowers... Love how it turned out so much so that this person nearly didnt have it sent to her... ofcourse... what good would happy mail be if it was sitting on my desk.. right!?

I hope she loves it as much as i do!

PS; i have had to clone out the name that was written in the journalling rub on at the back since i would still like this to be a surprise!

Thank you to everyone who takes the time out to visit my blog, even though over the past few weeks i have been the most terrible host. Though, as you will see, im now back, and have caught up (or will be by the end of the night)... and hopefully in the very near future i will be back to showing off more of my layouts again. This place is looking rather boring with all this writing, i will be the first to admit.. though.. you know how it goes... LIFE LIFE LIFE... BLAH BLAH BLAH..

There is no place like home

I think everyone knows what im talking about when i say that there is definately no place like home!

14 hours travelling is a hell of a lot to do over a few days let along in one hit... in one day.. though.. that is what we did.. i know... we need to see a shrink! ~L~

While it has been wonderful to catch up with everyone again and visit the place that we called home for so many years... but... home is where the heart is.. and... since Matts heart is now here in Melbourne.. mine is right with his... and im happy to be "home".

We had hoped to actually land our feet firmly on the white sands that i miss every time i visit a beach these days, though sadly, with all the visiting and days organised for us, it was not meant to be ... well.. not in the rightful sence.
We did however, get to the Entrance, and swum for a while in the channel, just in from the heads.. but.. it was not the same.. you know!?
Though... alteast i got to touch sand.. feel the salt on my skin and enjoy the time shared with the kids and Matt...

NOTE TO SELF: before climbing into a car ever again for a interstate drive with 3 children and a dog, first, consider the alternative.. a straight Jacket.

Doing what Friends do Best

We have just arrived back on the Coast from a day in Darling Harbour in Sydney..

I have had the most fantastic day..doing what friends do best... Hanging out with Cath and her beautiful children and wonderful Hubby. This hubby i will just say, came up from Sydney on no sleep, straight from night shift so that Cathy and I could catch up before they all left for New Zealand the very next morning.

We shared presents, lunch and lots of laughter...Had the best day.. doing nothing much but relaxing and just hanging ... the kind of day that everyone should have from time to time..

Tony, Thank you for putting up with us both for the day.. being content to just wander where we did.. (and rest on the grass when ever we stopped)... and for bringing my beautiful angel of a friend to visit with me for the day.
The kids played.. Matt did what he does, took photos.. Tony slept on the grass and Cath and i just chilled, enjoying the time to catch up and chatter about EVERYTHING and anything!!
I can't wait until we can all do it again..

Been A Visitin'...

What a wonderful day I've had.. what a better way to spend a day then to catch up with friends and shop, right!?
Well i did exactly that! The girls and i set out this morning to visit and have coffee at Gloria jean with Wendy. While the day started with a little bit of a hitch = car problems, it got better really quick. Matt and his dad and the little red truck quickly came to my rescue. Thankfully, it was just something small. We had a car stereo installed a lil while ago and the electronics were picking up some engine noise.. so what we thought was a simple fix with a suggested noise surpressor, was interfering with the alternator. I had suspected that it was this little wires fault.. though what can i say.. i didnt know where to find the alternator, therefore... could not fix it without the help of these two and the truck. ~L~
Yes yes.. i know... just a girl. ~rolls eyes at Matt~

After catching up with Wendy and the totally adorable Sam and watched him make a mess of himself with a babychino, we headed off to what i would have to say is the biggest shopping center that i think i have ever been too. Tuggerah Westfield is massive.. Man i regret my choice of shoe today.. i swear.. heels were probably not the most sensible thing.. right!?

The day was completed with a quick visit with the gorgeous Lisa, aka ScrapWitch. She and i had been texting messages back and forth all afternoon though, for the most, our timing was out continually. Anyway.. I stopped in on her on our way back home and man... i wish i had so much more time to visit with her.... not a bubblier person do i think ive had the pleasure of being around. If the sky was grey, her happy cheeery disposition would have pushed the sun into view.
Thank you for making me feel so welcome again in your home Lisa.. I look forward to catching up with you and those gorgeous girls on sunday.
Mwah.
Now... to find a place to rest these aching feet.

We have just staggered in the door from the most amazing time with Matts brother, fiance and gorgeous little boy, Their friend and son and some strays that found their way to the bar in the garage..

They saying bar is open was deffinately used well tonight.. (last night and this morning)... and i even put on my bar attending hat and served a while.. one for them... two for me.. nah.. just joking... though... lets just say.. i have not lost my knack of making one hell of a deadly "yummy" cocktail. You know the kind that go down really smooth, taste really good and put you right royally on your arse!? ~L~
Yes... i was pretty well on mine with everyone else.. a lot actually.. and the nips were getting bigger.. and the shots stopped fitting into their rightful glass but no one seemed to care..

Bottoms up... and... again.. Happy new year!
